The only exit intent pop-up I’ve liked so far:

Oodie clothing brand:
Their brand’s mission is to create moments of happiness & comfort and they sell oversized hoodies and weighted blankets.

So they used exit intent like this to their advantage.

  1. Grab-attention

Keep in mind to Grab Attention with something relatable or fun for your audience. This works for Oodie because it relates with their audience.

  1. Valuable-offer

Make your offer - Why should I stay? - What’s in it for me?

- Discounts
- Free stuff
- Prizes
etc

And use the body text to further clarify your offer and here they have related the offer with the fun element above.

  1. Next step

CTA: Write the next step, keep it simple.

Why it works?
Because it uses a simple & clear action-oriented language.
