Example #020 - Design to increase shareability
Hey — it’s Deepak
Reading time - 2 mins
There are 2 ways to increase your shareability:
1. Customize their achievements
And make it easy to share.
People won’t share your app’s features or benefits but they will share their achievements.
Build Tweetable/Shareable moments for them.
Here’s Duo-Lingo’s Example
And Strava does the same thing.
2. Big enough incentive
If you can’t make it about them or their achievements then you have to give them a big enough incentive, people don’t share easily on social, especially about a brand.
Share to get something in return approach.
It can be a discount, resource gift, etc.
And my favorite example:
Create a valuable resource and make it free if they share.
(I came across this while reading MarketingExamples by Harry Dry)
Market value is $34.99 but you’ll get it free, all you have to do is just retweet it, now that’s a big enough reason to share something.
So, let’s see if this works.
Will you share this?
Appreciate you reading. It really means a lot.
If you found it useful, consider sharing with someone who might be interested.
Deepak - see you Tuesday
